2023 – 2024 Club Meetings: held at 1:00 PM at the fellowship hall of the Alva Methodist Church, 21440 Pearl Street, Alva (unless otherwise noted) beginning with a social time 1:00-1:30, followed by the featured presentation indicated below and the club business meeting.

Tuesday, October 17, 2023: Kara Paul will give a presentation on Small Space Gardening. The 2023-24 Yearbooks will be available to those who have paid their annual membership dues.

Tuesday, November 21, 2023: Our club President Liz Ingram presents: “Our Club: Past, Present and Future.

Tuesday, December 19, 2023: Connie Dennis, club member and President of Alva Inc., will share the objectives and major issues that are the focus of Alva, Inc.

Tuesday, January 16, 2024: Our speaker, Timothy Watkins and his daughter, Elena, will talk about Edible Plants that flourish in Alva’s climate and soil. Both are volunteers at ECHO Global Farm.

Tuesday, February 20, 2024: Florida Master Naturalist Tony Mauriello presents: “Cultivating your Own Butterfly Garden.”

Tuesday, March 19, 2024: Dr. Jose Padilla-Lopez of the Caloosa Bird Club presents: “Birding Lee County.”

Tuesday, April 16, 2024: “Rare and Endangered Plants” will be the topic of Dan Skean, club member and retired botany professor.

Tuesday, May 21, 2024: “The Art of Bonsai” will be presented by Hamilton K. Agnew of the Lee County Bonsai Society.
